Erasmus+ Mobility Programme

The Erasmus programme began in the late 1980s and is regarded as one of the most successful European programmes for the mobility of students and staff to educational institutions and organisations across Europe. In 2014, it was renamed Erasmus+ — the European Union's programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport.

For more general information about the programme, you may visit the website of the Erasmus+ Office of the University of the Aegean: https://erasmus.aegean.gr/

Mobility categories

Erasmus+ comprises two categories of mobility:

  • Classic Mobility — the movement of staff or students to countries within the European Union.
  • International Mobility — the movement of staff or students to countries outside the European Union.

Mobility opportunities

  • Students: for study or for a traineeship.
  • Teaching & administrative staff: for training.
  • Teaching staff: additionally, for teaching.

The mobility procedures for the Institution's students are described in the Internal Mobility Regulation of the Erasmus+ Programme.
