Erasmus+ GDPrApp Project Results Dissemination Event at the Universityof the Aegean

Press Release 22 September, 2026

In the context of the completion of the European project “GDPrApp: Teaching GDPR to Students through a Serious Game”, the Privacy Engineering and Social Informatics Laboratory (PrivaSI) of the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean is organising a dissemination event to present the project’s results. The event aims to inform the educational and academic community about the project’s activities and the educational tools developed to enhance knowledge and raise awareness of personal data protection.

The event will take place on Friday, 25 September 2026, from 12:00 to 13:30, in Room C of the Geography Building, University Hill at the University of the Aegean, in Mytilene.

The GDPrApp project aims to enhance students’, parents’ and teachers’ understanding of the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) through an educational digital game (serious game), online courses (MOOC) and training guides, promoting the safe and responsible use of digital technologies in the school environment. The project is implemented under the Erasmus+ programme, bringing together six partners from four European countries: Collège Elsa Triolet and the Génération Numérique Association from France, the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean and Primary School of Ippeios from Greece, Gislev Friskole from Denmark and the Direção Regional de Educação from Portugal. Collège Elsa Triolet is the project coordinator.

During the event, the key results developed within the framework of the project will be presented. More specifically, the presentations will cover the results of research and information exchange, the MOOC guide for teachers and parents, the results related to idea development, as well as the design, development and evaluation of the educational game. The event will conclude with an open discussion and exchange of views with the participants. The event provides an opportunity to present and disseminate the results of GDPrApp to the educational and academic communities, while also highlighting the importance of education on personal data protection and privacy in today’s digital environment.
